      Dehesa Method Sports Academy (DMSA) is a tuition-free public school designed specifically for San Diego area student athletes. Students attend school onsite in El Cajon (Dehesa area) every Monday - Thursday, where they get small group instruction in the classroom, and personalized sport-specific training on the field or on the court. Fridays are online school days, allowing students to travel and meet other team and training commitments.

      Current Enrollment & Waitlist Options (2024-25) 

      The good news? DMSA is popular. Really popular, in fact. The bad news? We’ve run out of spots for the new school year (2024-25). However, we do have options, including:

      Option 1: Hybrid

      Supported by their homeroom teacher in the classroom, students independently work in Method’s Smartfox Learning Management System in the classroom at Dehesa Elementary School for half the day.  The other half of the day, DMSA Hybrid students participate in athletic training at designated training facilities. Transportation between training and the school is provided.

      Option 2: DMSA Independent Study + Train (Grades 7-12, Limited Space)

      Students work independently at home in the morning and may attend training in the afternoon. They access online courses through the Smartfox Learning Management System and receive support from a Method Schools homeroom teacher. Students participate in one-on-one homeroom meetings and live virtual instructional classes. As space becomes available, students may transfer into the hybrid classroom program.

      Option 3: Method Schools Independent Study (Grades 7-12)

      Students work independently at home and participate in live instructional classes. They access online courses through the Smartfox Learning Management System and receive support from a Method Schools homeroom teacher. Students attend one-on-one meetings, required instructional classes, and homeroom sessions. As space becomes available, students may transfer into the hybrid classroom program or the Independent Study + Train program.

      Step 1: Student Enrollment Form

      In accordance with California Education Code Section 47605(e)(4)(B), Method will not request a pupil’s records or require a parent, guardian, or pupil to submit the pupil’s records to the Charter School before enrollment.
